What is a supporter?
A Supporter is anyone who supports your organization, whether by making donations, fundraising through a P2P campaign, or both.
Each supporter has a single profile that brings together all of their activity, making it easier to manage relationships and view their complete history.
What's included in a supporter profile?
A Supporter profile gives you a complete view of that person's involvement with your organization.
From the profile, you can view:
Their donation history
Their recurring donation plans
Their P2P fundraisers
Their personal info, such as name, email, address and phone number.
Managing Supporters
All supporters can be found under the Supporters tab in your dashboard.
When creating a new fundraiser, you'll simply select an existing supporter or create a new one. There's no need to create separate records for donors and fundraisers.
This allows a single person to donate, fundraise, or do both while keeping all of their activity connected to one profile.
What's changed?
Previously, Double stored Donors and Fundraisers as two separate profile types.
This meant that if someone had already donated and later wanted to become a P2P fundraiser, a second profile had to be created for them in the Fundraisers section.
Now, Double uses a single Supporter profile that combines both roles. Donations and P2P fundraising activity are all managed from one place, giving you a more complete view of every person who supports your organization.
The unified supporter profile also powers the new Supporter portal. When supporters sign in, they can not only manage their donations, but also access all of their P2P fundraising activity in one place. This provides supporters with a much more complete self-service experience and makes it easier for them to stay engaged with your organization's fundraising efforts.
