Processing a credit card donation from the dashboard

In this article, we’ll explain how to take a donation on behalf of a supporter from your dashboard.

You can take a donation on behalf of a supporter directly from your Double dashboard.

Adding a donation

  1. Go to Transactions, click New, and choose Online.

  2. Enter the donation details: campaign, amount, currency, and frequency. You can make it a one-time or recurring donation and include processing fees if the supporter wants to cover them.

  3. Add any optional details, such as a comment, an anonymous preference, or attribution to a fundraiser or solicitor.

  4. Select the supporter or create a new supporter profile, enter the payment details, and complete the donation.

Payment options

  • Credit card: Enter the supporter’s card details in the payment form. With Grow, the card details are entered in the separate form that opens.

  • Charity card: Choose the charity card provider and enter the card details.

The payment options available depend on your connected payment processor.

If you have already received the money outside Double, use Recording offline donations to add it to the supporter’s history.
